Marking the 800th Anniversary of the Birth of St Elisabeth

Assisi (Perugia).

This is the first of two years of celebrations

to mark the 8th centenary of the birth of St Elisabeth of Hungary

and Thuringia (1207-2007),

the patron saint of the Secular Franciscan Order.

On November 16th and 17th there will be a number of events

in the basilicas of St Francis' and Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi.
